"The Cashmere Coconut" is located in a private community where the streets are lined with upscale luxurious beach cottages. Scenic Hwy 98 curves past a unique blend of beach homes and hot spots like The Crab Trap -- a tourist favorite! Kenny D's and Pompano Joes are convenient and close to us and great places on the water to enjoy a meal, cocktails, and watch the emerald hues of the ocean and a fantastic beach sunset.
We offer a street legal battery powered golf cart at the property for rent to help you navigate the area without worrying about parking your car. If you choose to rent the golf cart it must be rented for your entire stay. Our cart is from Destin Golf Cart Rental and we use their seasonal rate structure. You must be 25 to lease and drive a street legal cart and an insurance lease agreement must be signed.
You can walk to the beach in 3 minutes as we are only a block to the Private, Gated Beach Access which is one of the many luxuries of staying in this gorgeous neighborhood. The house is equipped with beach chairs, beach towels, and two umbrellas.
If you're looking for a larger public beach the next beach east, James Lee Public Park, is also very accessible. There you will find public restrooms and showers, The Crab Trap Restaurant and Bar, and a large public beach with parking for our golf cart.
It's easy to get back and forth from the beach to the house if you need to go back to freshen up your beverages, ice or use the facilities.

Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!
